Art in the making

We are working on our mixed media art. So far we have  painted the background with twigs from the school garden, painted the moon, coloured the stars with crayon, added glitter.  Stayed tuned to find out what the finished art project will look like. It ties in with our study of the solar system and Matariki which we will also learn about this term.

                 Praticing our colouring skills, we were encouraged to colour in one direction.

Using the scissors was a little tricky for some of us on the smaller stars.

Painting the moon was awesome as we got to use nice fat brushes so it didnt take long.
